JAKARTA: PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk is studying the option to finance power plant construction project worth as much as US$30 million in 2013 as a way to diversify its credit distribution.
The bank is reviewing credit distribution to infrastructure sector as most of the bank distributions are to small and medium enterprises and consumer, said President Director Arviyan Arifin.
“We are studying the financing structure first. It can be syndication if the value is big, said Arviyan on Thursday (9/6/2012).
The outstanding financing to the SME sector reached IDR8 trillion in July 2012, while the consumer financing was around IDR9 trillion, he explained .
Bank Muamalat is targeting SMEs engaged in trade, plantation, mining, and manufacturing.
